A day in Malta for nature lovers

#holidayitinerary

Start your day out by exploring the lovely town of Valletta, where you can grab traditional Maltese pastries for breakfast or a classic English breakfast (which has become a part of culture from when there was a British military port at Malta). Admire the beautiful mosaics and marble of St John’s Co-Cathedral or visit the Grandmaster’s Palace for some history before you set out for the islands!

On the islands, head to Comino and Gozo via the ferry terminal at Ċirkewwa. There you can enjoy the most gorgeous blue waters and even engage in water sports like water skiing, volleyball and swimming. Both islands are wonderful for seaside hiking and give you a beautiful view over the Mediterranean. Check out the Blue Lagoon and Crystal Lagoon in Comino, where you can swim. In Gozo, you can hike or visit the Ggigantija Archaeological site to see UNESCO protected Stone Age ruins. End your day by taking a ferry back to Birgu, where you can try traditional cuisine or enjoy the sunset at Fort Sant Angelo. A must for island lovers and nature hikers!
