Relaxed Theme Park 🤍 Sekigahara Warland

#SummerThemePark

This is one of Gifu Prefecture's most famous (or perhaps infamous?) spots.
I hadn't been there in a while, so I finally made a visit today.
It happened to coincide with the Japanese umbrella exhibition, so the atmosphere was a little different than usual.

The dolls still have a cheap look, but volunteers have been repainting them, so they're in good condition.
If you listen carefully to the running water tape, you'll find that the realistic narration really livens up the atmosphere.
Costume rentals are available for small children, and there are several photo spots.
A recreation of the site's original encampment is scattered with dolls of various warlords.
The concrete dolls give it a nice B-movie feel.
Parking is ample and free, and admission includes a voucher for a 300 yen souvenir.
I hope more tourists discover this laid-back theme park and it continues to exist for a long time.
History buffs will appreciate the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the famous Battle of Sekigahara.

1701-6 Sekigahara, Sekigahara-cho, Fuwa-gun, Gifu Prefecture 503-1501

Tickets starting at 800 yen
