📍 ✨ 3 Days at Gili: How I Spent Time Between the Ocean, Horses & Tropics

Here no bike 🙈 it’s absolutely ECO resort!

▌ 🐴🚴♀️🌊 The Best Escape for Body & Soul

▌ 🌅 Day 1: Sunrise over the ocean, breakfast & bikes

My day started with sunrise 🌅
Breakfast with an ocean view at Gili Lestari or right on the beach — fresh fruit, avocado toast, cappuccino ☕
And right after breakfast — we grabbed bikes and hit the road!

We rode to a horse farm. The horses were sweet and big, like they knew we were coming.
Fed them carrots, pet them, took some pics… and soon we were in the saddle 🐎

Riding along the coast at sunset? Magical. Wind in your hair, sand under hooves, ocean on your right.
Then dinner somewhere by the water — and the evening ended dancing at Rabbit Hall 💃🕺

▌ 🌙 Day 2: Open-air cinema & swimming with turtles

Second day started early.
Morning at the beach — just lying there listening to the waves 🌊
Then breakfast at Aston Resort, and suddenly came the idea — swimming with turtles!

About 10 meters from shore, they swim peacefully as if waiting for you.
With mask and snorkel, a little nervousness — and there you are, face to face with them.
The turtles don’t even run — they look at you curiously.

Evening — open-air cinema 🎬
Bean bags, blankets, popcorn and a movie under the stars.
One of the most romantic moments of my trip.

▌ 🌺 Day 3: Gili Trawangan – Three Islands, One Magic 🐢🐠

This was the main day: an exotic tour to the three Gili islands (Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air)

We left by boat from Senggigi, reached the first island in half an hour.
First stop — Gili Trawangan: white sand beaches, water like an aquarium.
Lunch there, bike ride around, a quick dip.

Next — Gili Meno: the most romantic.
Grabbed our snorkels — and into the water!
Fish of all colors, coral reefs, and again — turtles 🐢🐟
They call this place the “aquarium of Indonesia” — and it’s true!

Last stop — Gili Air: local villages, markets, cafes and a turtle sanctuary 🐢
There, I saw how baby turtles get ready for life in the ocean.
People rescue them, raise them, and then release them back into the sea.
It was touching to the core.
