Originally, I was just looking for accommodation close to the airport, but staying in Gimpo's "Korean Venice" turned out to be the biggest surprise of my trip!
Restaurants, cafes, and bars line up one after another, each with its own unique style. Some feature live music performances, and there's even a night market to explore. The area is bustling at night, resembling a never-ending nighttime carnival! Walking along the canal-side paths, the lights reflect beautifully on the water, and the streets are filled with charming cafes, dessert shops, boutique stores, and cozy bars. The riverside plaza even hosts small music performances, creating a super relaxing atmosphere.
🎶 That evening, I enjoyed Korean BBQ while listening to street performers sing—it was incredibly chill. The streets were filled with strolling crowds and couples, making the walk feel cool and romantic, rivaling the nightlife vibe of downtown Seoul!
📍 If you're like me and prefer not to rush through tourist spots, and enjoy places with a touch of exotic charm without the crowds, I highly recommend spending an evening in this area. It's relaxing and therapeutic!
