🚗 Route: Summit Parking Lot → Xiaoguabi → Mountain God Temple → Qinglongtan → Return
✔️ Slow walk + photo stops ≈ 3 hours, kids not tired, mom not crazy, perfect!
---
📍Section 1: Summit Parking Lot → Xiaoguabi Entrance (500m / 20 minutes)
Walking from the parking lot feels like entering a tunnel of red leaves🍂, leaves within arm’s reach! Sunlight filters through the gaps creating beautiful light and shadow, kids chase the little squirrels 🐿️ all the way, no coaxing needed~
📍Section 2: Xiaoguabi → Mountain God Temple (1 km / 40 minutes)
The densest red leaves! The Guabi trail is 2 meters wide, safe and easy to walk. When the wind blows, leaves fall like a “red leaf rain”🌧️✨. Rest on the stone benches by the temple, spread a mat, and make little birds and rabbits with fallen leaves with the kids, creating autumn memories in your heart~
📍Section 3: Mountain God Temple → Qinglongtan Viewing Platform (800m / 30 minutes)
The view at the platform is stunning! The lake is emerald green reflecting the red leaves all over the mountain🏞️, and the distant Ciyun Temple looks very poetic. ⚠️ But the water is very cold at the end of October, don’t let the kids touch it! The “Immortal Cultivation Cave” nearby has a steep path, not suitable for kids, a 1-hour round trip that’s too tiring and not worth it🙅.
📍Section 4: Viewing Platform → Parking Lot (600m / 30 minutes)
The newly built loop trail is easy and direct, passing wild hawthorn and persimmon trees🍅, pick a few to taste fresh (don’t be greedy)~

🎒【Tested Essentials & Pitfall Avoidance Guide】
✅ Must-bring list:
· Light jacket (big temperature difference in the mountains, can take off when hot and put on when cold)
· Non-slip sports shoes (leaf-covered paths can be slippery)
· Small cloth bag (to collect kids’ treasure red leaves🍁)
· Wet wipes (for hands and shoes, a must-have)
· Thermos + folding chair (for anytime refreshment and rest)
✅ Kid-friendly activity:
Make “red leaf specimens”📖 with the kids, pick the most beautiful leaves and press them in a book, a unique souvenir to take home!
❌ Pitfalls to avoid:
· The Guabi trail has railings but keep a close hold on the kids!
· Leaf-covered paths are slippery, don’t let kids run wild🚫
· No restaurants in the scenic area, bringing sandwiches and fruit for a picnic is better~ Remember to take your trash with you!
