Today, I visited the Greenwich Observatory. After getting off at the station, it took about 20 minutes of walking to reach the grassy area below the observatory. There are many museums nearby to explore.
First, we headed to the Greenwich Observatory. To get there, we had to cross a massive grassy field (where many people were picnicking, enjoying a relaxed atmosphere) and then climb a long and steep slope (comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended). It felt like quite an effort to finally reach the observatory. After walking around, we searched for the famous Prime Meridian line, only to find that it was literally just a line.
I would say this place is worth visiting for those who are genuinely interested, but if I had known beforehand about the long walk, I might have reconsidered coming here.
After descending the hill, we visited the Queen's House below. It's a small museum with free admission, showcasing the modest old royal residence and beautiful paintings. The outdoor corridors are also great spots for taking photos.
