Bestie’s birthday stay at Hanting made her cry with happiness! Free birthday noodles, the sweetness of the Gu’an trip is off the charts

Who says you have to eat cake at home on your birthday? Escaping with my sisters to Gu’an for this “laid-back birthday trip” was so heartwarming thanks to Hanting Hotel (Gu’an Branch)! From check-in to check-out, the free surprises kept coming nonstop, and we couldn’t stop taking photos—this experience was absolutely top-notch~

🏨 Hanting’s birthday vibe is free but truly touches the heart!

Before the trip, I casually wrote “bestie’s birthday trip” in the order notes without expecting much, but as soon as we arrived at the hotel, we were blown away by the surprises! The front desk lady greeted us with a smile, gave us early birthday wishes, and told us there was a little surprise waiting.

What touched me the most was when we returned to the room at night—the housekeeper actually brought free birthday noodles! In a celadon bowl lay a perfectly round poached egg, with scallions floating in the broth. Drinking it warm warmed not only my stomach but also my heart—it was more moving than receiving an expensive gift~

The room itself was super comfortable! The bedding was so soft it felt like sinking into clouds. The two of us collapsed on the bed, unwrapping gifts and laughing until we rolled around; the bathroom had a dry-wet separation, and after using the shower gel, I felt fresh and fragrant. The powerful hairdryer dried my long hair super fast—so girl-friendly! Breakfast was so abundant it was hard to choose: porridge, noodles, desserts, cut mango chunks… Sitting by the window planning our itinerary with sunlight pouring in, happiness bubbled over~

🎡 We power-walked through 3 attractions with my sisters—tired but so happy we could stomp our feet!

✅ Beijing Wildlife Park: Just a 24-minute drive from the hotel, a proven happy place for adults! On the feeding vehicle, a zebra stuck its head through the window for food, and my bestie screamed but tightly held onto the carrot; while feeding alpacas in the walking area, she got saliva on her finger and laughed while wiping it off, saying “It’s so cute!” When a lemur jumped on my shoulder, my bestie snapped photos nonstop, filling her nine-grid instantly!

✅ Gu’an Central Park: Taking a stroll here at dusk was so relaxing! The large lawn was like a green carpet; we took off our shoes and ran barefoot. The photos captured as the wind lifted our skirts got tons of likes on social media~ Feeding swans by the lake, the sunset dyed the water golden-red. My bestie suddenly said, “When we’re old, we still have to walk in the park together like this,” which hit a soft spot instantly~

✅ Gu’an Museum: A niche museum full of big surprises! The Liao Dynasty tomb exhibit’s ceramic figurines were adorably clumsy. My bestie took crazy selfies with the Liao bronze mirror, saying she wanted to soak up the ancient aesthetic~ The folk culture exhibit’s old sewing machine and enamel cups reminded us of grandma’s house. We reminisced and shared childhood funny stories, time passing slowly and sweetly~

🍜 Fully indulging in Gu’an snacks, who understands the joy of carbs!

The local friends recommended the snack street—must-go!

• Imperial-style milk curd: The milky flavor is so rich it sticks to your lips, sprinkled with raisins for a perfect touch. We ate two bowls before we could leave;

• Donkey meat sandwich: Freshly baked sandwich with a crispy outside and soft inside, donkey meat mixed with green peppers crumbled with every bite. My bestie said while eating, “This tastes more authentic than Beijing’s”;

• Fried cake: Golden and crispy on the outside, biting into the molten red bean paste was hot but irresistible. Paired with sour plum juice, it was both refreshing and satisfying~
We packed some to take back to the hotel at night, sitting by the bay window sharing bites—no need for cake anymore~

This birthday trip, Hanting’s free surprises warmed our hearts more than any gift. From warm wishes to birthday noodles, from clean rooms to thoughtful service, we completely relaxed, just laughing, playing, and enjoying each other’s company~ We’ll come back for the next birthday! Hanting’s pampering has us locked in for sure~
