Guangzhou Opera House, located in Zhujiang New Town, Tianhe District, Guangzhou, is a landmark building on the new central axis of Guangzhou. Its unique design was created by British-Iraqi designer Zaha Hadid. It is inspired by "rounded twin pebbles" and embodies a modern aesthetic in black, white and grey tones. The theater is equipped with several art galleries including an opera hall, an experimental theater, a contemporary art gallery, and three rehearsal halls to meet the performance needs of different art forms. The opera hall, in particular, with its three-tiered "hand-embracing" auditorium and "sky-full of stars" ceiling design, brings a stunning audio-visual experience to the audience.
