Guangzhou Itinerary|Litchi Bay Half Day Tour

#Guangzhou Itinerary

The Litchi Bay area is a famous tourist area in Guangzhou's "Xiguan" area.

You can set off for Litchi Bay around noon. Take Exit A of Zhongshan 8th Road Subway Station and walk eastward to Pantang Road.

The first stop is to visit the Renwei Ancestral Temple, which is hidden in the city but famous far and wide. This ancient temple was the oldest building among the 18 townships of Enzhou, Pantang. The stone, brick and wood carvings on the columns and walls are lifelike, displaying the charm of southern sculptures.

Afterwards, you can have lunch at some Chinese restaurants on Pantang Road, or have tea at the "Panxi Restaurant" and enjoy a cup of tea or two while looking out at the view of Liwan Lake.

Check in at the "Wen Tower" in Liwan, then take a stroll along the river and visit the Liwan Museum, which has exhibition areas including "Former Residence of Chen Lianzhong", "Former Residence of Chen Lianbo" and "Former Residence of Jiang Guangnai", showcasing the local customs, unique art and prosperous commerce of Xiguan.

Chen Lianbo's former residence, this ancient building from the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China has become a popular check-in spot after renovation. The yellow exterior walls, European-style colonnades, curved balconies and "the most beautiful spiral staircase in Guangzhou" are exquisitely shaped and extraordinary in style. The exhibition in the former residence is based on the theme of Guangzhou as a thousand-year-old commercial capital, showcasing national enterprises and products.

You can also check in at Xiguan Mansion to take a souvenir photo. The Xiguan mansion is tall, bright and exquisitely decorated, and is a representative example of Lingnan-style folk residences.

Afterwards, you may want to take a cruise from Wen Tower to Yongqingfang. The boat ride takes about 20-25 minutes, and the adult ticket price is 65-80 yuan, the senior ticket price is 45-60 yuan, and the child ticket price is 35-50 yuan.
