Guangzhou Food Exploration|A Well-Deserved Award-Winning Premium Cantonese Cuisine

I’ve long heard of the renowned "Jiang by Chef Fei at Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou," which has consistently won awards and received high praise in Guangzhou, a city known for its culinary excellence.

A group of over ten friends and I made a special trip to experience it, even securing a private dining room. Located on the 3rd floor of the luxurious Mandarin Oriental, Guangzhou, the restaurant exudes understated elegance the moment you step off the elevator. Our private room, Hall No. 1, is said to be the largest in the restaurant, decorated in Mandarin Oriental’s signature style that harmoniously blends modernity with tradition.

After seating, we quickly ordered several signature dishes recommended by the manager, and the service was impressively fast. Among the many dishes we tried, here are the highlights that received unanimous praise:

- **"Crispy Roasted Chicken with Flaxseed"**: An absolute must-try. The skin is incredibly crispy, while the meat remains juicy and tender—perfectly balanced.
- **"Steamed Minced Pork Patty with Hèlè Crab and Rose Vinegar Sauce"**: My favorite of the night. Even without rice, it was so delicious I couldn’t stop eating. Surprisingly, it wasn’t overly salty or greasy.
- **"Pan-Seared Australian Ribeye with Spicy Pepper Sauce"**: A creative pairing. Though it looked fiery red, it wasn’t spicy at all, though the ribeye was slightly overcooked.
- **"Steamed Sole Fish with Preserved Radish Sauce"**: Seemed like a simple and salty combination, but the fish was expertly prepared, and the sauce was exceptional—highly recommended.
- **"Chaozhou Fish Ball and Tomato with Tianjin Cabbage Hotpot"**: A classic example of how something seemingly simple can be extraordinary, especially after several rich dishes.

We were also lucky to try a new dessert not yet on the official menu: **"Ginger Milk Pudding"**—I hope it gets added soon because it was absolutely delicious!

Many other dishes were also excellent, though too numerous to list. The service was outstanding, with detailed introductions for each course and even a tea sommelier recommending pairings for our meal.

Overall, this is a highly recommended award-winning premium Cantonese restaurant.
