A Hidden Hot Spring Paradise at the Foot of Phoenix Mountain

At the base of Phoenix Mountain in Conghua District, Guangzhou, lies a secluded resort paradise—Guangzhou Congdu International Manor. This place resembles an exquisite landscape painting, with emerald-green mountains encircling it and crystal-clear streams murmuring, as if transporting you into a dream. Whether you seek the relaxation of hot springs or the tranquility of classical gardens, this destination fulfills all your vacation fantasies.

The outdoor hot springs may not offer a wide variety, but they are exceptionally clear and authentic. There are five or six pools in total—one larger and the rest smaller—with only temperature differences between them, focusing purely on soaking. On weekdays, it’s practically a private experience. If you’re looking for more diverse hot spring options, the nearby Dusit Thani Resort offers a broader selection.

The highlight of the experience is the environment! A natural oxygen bar and a true paradise! The manor is vast, perfect for running or leisurely walks, with shuttle services available. It also features a large golf course.

The hotel service is decent but nothing extraordinary, though the front desk staff are very friendly. The rooms resemble those at the Fairmont Chengdu, spacious and comfortable. A quick aside: the beds at the Fairmont in Chengdu are the best I’ve ever slept on—I even asked the manager and found out they’re Sealy mattresses. If you get the chance, try them; it’s like floating on a cloud.

The rooms are large and luxurious. We booked one of the cheapest options, yet it was a 100-square-meter suite with an enormous bathroom and a spacious living area. The bed faces the balcony, making it perfect for lying down and doing absolutely nothing. The room amenities are from high-end British brands, with attention to detail in every corner.
