|Only temples know the suffering of young people. Nanshan Temple is located in Nanshan Park, about 3 km southeast of Guigang, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is located in a cave on Shishan Mountain, surrounded by the 24 peaks of Nanshan Mountain. The scenery is beautiful and the climate is pleasant. Nanshan Mountain is 70 meters above sea level and is the highest of the 24 peaks on the banks of the Yujiang River. The mountain is full of strange rocks and cliffs, and the scenery is elegant. It is not only a holy place for Buddhists, but also a good place for tourists to relax and feel the peace.
The history of Nanshan Temple can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty, and it was deeply influenced by the Zen thought of the eminent monk Huineng (or Huineng). Although he mainly preached at Baolin Temple in Shaozhou, Guangdong (now Nanhua Temple in Shaoguan), his Zen thought had a great influence on later generations. The official establishment of Nanshan Temple began in the second year of the reign of Emperor Taizong of the Song Dynasty (989 AD), when the monk Shanzhi chose the site and built the temple. Since then, Nanshan Temple has become more and more popular and famous.
🌻Nanshan Temple has three treasures: the Bodhi tree, the flying bell, and the stone Buddha statue. The clear river ripples and the bright moon breaks, the wind blows through the valley and the white clouds float. It is worth a visit.
🌻Admission is free, and incense and oil lamps are up to personal preference. The tour takes about 2 hours. The temple is relatively quiet, and there are many places to take photos. You can also climb the mountain, which is not very high and not too strenuous. The site is spacious and suitable for children (please do not make loud noises).
