Stone Walls & Forest Strolls, Namhansanseong

#summervacay Spent the day wandering around Namhansanseong in Gyeonggi-do, and honestly, it was the perfect mix of history and nature. You’re not just hiking here, you’re walking along these old fortress walls with total drama vibes, like you’re in a historical K-drama (minus the sword fights).

The trail’s super chill for the most part, some gentle ups and downs through pine forests and shaded paths. But there are spots with a bit of incline to keep it interesting. Plus, you get amazing views of Seoul popping through the trees once you hit the higher sections.

The fortress walls are awesome. Massive, mossy, and full of character. I stopped a bunch of times just to take pics and imagine what it was like way back when. Also: tons of cute rest spots and lookout pavilions, perfect for a snack break.

It’s not a hardcore hike, but if you want history, views, and a foresty escape close to the city, Namhansanseong totally hits the spot.
