【National Gyeongju Museum】South Korea's Silla History and Culture Center, suitable for travelers interested in culture and history

The advantage of this museum is that it is located in the heart of Silla history and culture in Korea. The presence of a large cemetery nearby has been a rich source of incredible artifacts, from pottery fragments to entire pottery collections, two weapons cast in iron, plus fine goldwork. They are all laid out in a way that showcases the historical and cultural strengths of this part of Korea. It was informative and eye-opening.

If you're interested in the cultural history of Korea or the region, including the origins of the people here and anthropology, the museum is worth your trip.

Admission is free, although you do have to get a ticket from the ticket booth. There is a 7-11 here where you can buy drinks and snacks.

It can take up to an hour to travel from the centre of Gyeongju through the ancient tombs, or there seem to be plenty of buses that will take you back to the city centre.
