The ⭐️Gyeongju Nodong-dong Tomb Complex⭐️ is a collection of ancient Silla-era tombs, including Bonghwangdae, Siknichong, and Geumryeongchong. Originally protected as a historic site, it was re-designated in 2011 as part of the 'Gyeongju Daereungwon Area.' Among them, Bonghwangdae stands out with a height of 22 meters and a diameter of 82 meters, making it the second largest after Hwangnamdaechong, showcasing the grandeur of the Silla Kingdom. Siknichong was named after the discovery of gilt-bronze shoes (Sikni), while Geumryeongchong yielded various artifacts such as a golden crown and horse-rider figurine pottery. The juxtaposition of these massive tombs amidst ordinary residential areas creates a unique landscape where a thousand years of history coexist with the present, a sight unique to Gyeongju.
