Opened in 1969, this is Japan's first outdoor art museum. The vast museum, which covers an area of about 70,000 square meters, displays works by sculptors representing modern and contemporary art, such as Rodin and Henry Moore. There is also the "Picasso Museum" which houses about 300 pieces of Picasso's collection, including ceramics, and the "Harmony Sculpture Calling for Happiness" which is made entirely of stained glass. After the visit, you can dine or shop in the museum. The museum has a cafe that provides light meals, a buffet restaurant, a gourmet restaurant with an open kitchen, and a rest area. The official souvenir shop has a wide range of products.
