Whimsical Afternoon at Sweets Bank Hamamatsu

Knowing about my obsession with Unagi Pie, my friend brought me to Hamamatsu, the city that created these famous buttery snacks, and therefore Sweets Bank Hamamatsu, the flagship shop by Shunkado—home of the famous unagi pie.

We were greeted by a large dining table, giant chairs, oversized paper bags, and even a giant piggy bank! Great for IG pix.

Inside the cozy TORA to FUSEN café & bakery, though we did not manage to snag a loaf of their famous Toranda yellow brioche, we had their cute deserts which was delish.

Another highlight was their toilet (I can only share on the female toilet) that was designed to look like a countryside kitchen! Another snap for the IG.

End off with a stop at SHOP Shunkado for the unagi‑pie in exclusive Sweets Bank packaging.

BTW, check out the pop-up retail showcase across the road. housed in cake-box like shophouses.
