Come to Handan while there aren't many tourists!

Handan. Huiche Alley Historical and Cultural Block is very close to Congtai Park and can be reached on foot. The first things that catch your eye are the Chuanrong Archway and the circular jade bi sculpture. I guess this is the He Shi Bi from the story 'Returning the Jade to Zhao'!
Originally, Huiche Alley was planned to be the main destination for the evening, but upon entering, I found that many shops had been sealed and stopped operating (as shown in the last picture). Only a few shops were still open, and the whole street was deserted... After reading the notice on the seal, it seems that the scenic area is changing its operating property. Currently, the atmosphere lighting in the scenic area is only at the street entrance, and the rest of the area has only sporadic street lights. So, for those planning to visit Huiche Alley, be careful not to come too late. One reason is that the attractions along the way are not open at night (such as the Cixi Palace), and another is that given the current situation, it might only take ten to twenty minutes to walk through. Exiting from the other end of the alley, past the parking lot, is the Chengnan Night Market.
As a place where almost every Chinese person knows the historical story took place, Huiche Alley has a solid foundation for cultural and tourism development. From the promotional information board at the street entrance, you can see that a lot of effort has been put into repairing and developing the historical block of Huiche Alley. Handan's geographical location is very advantageous, and the cultural and tourism department should carefully select a scenic area operating agency with development capabilities. Historical resources are just a backdrop; you can't just look at the exterior. The key is to have substance that keeps up with the times. It might even be worth considering integrating immersive interactive experience designs to reenact and bring to life the stories of Lian Po and Lin Xiangru today. The traditional model of leasing shops for cultural tourism is outdated. Only a more vibrant immersive experience economy can better attract people and stimulate the economy. Here's an idea—plan an experience theme called 'Finding Lian Po & Lin Xiangru' to make the cultural block's tour more than just monotonous snacks. Create a Warring States-themed costume travel photography block, which can both activate the scenic area's tourism economy and promote culture, educating through entertainment. The inclusion of NPCs in the scenic area can also solve some social employment issues. It seems like a win-win situation for the country and the people. With the cultural and tourism economy on the rise, Handan's cultural and tourism department should seize the opportunity.
Looking forward to the near future when the new property management can bring new vitality to Huiche Alley~
