Cycling: Cycle along the West Lake Greenway to the Yanggong Causeway section. Enjoy the scenery of Broken Bridge and Quyuan Fenghe along the way.
🌿 Must-See Highlights
Jihong Bridge: A must-visit spot for traditional Hanfu photos! The black-tiled and white-walled corridor spans the lake, resembling a rainbow after the rain. Qipao or Hanfu silhouettes are highly recommended for photoshoots📸.
Xuefang: A thatched cottage with bamboo weaving, exuding a hermit's vibe. The surrounding streams are crystal clear, perfect for ancient-style portraits or quiet contemplation.
Zijiu Caotang: The former residence of Yuan Dynasty painter Huang Gongwang. The red-lacquered wooden door contrasts beautifully with the greenery, creating a perfect backdrop for traditional Chinese photos.
Wu Zhuangyuan Archway: A Song Dynasty-style archway with exquisite stone-carved lotus details. Capture a stunning symmetrical composition by shooting from the opposite corridor.
Forest Adventure: The area around Yilan Pavilion and Xuefang, north of Jihong Bridge, is covered with vines and dappled light, ideal for forest-themed outfits.
📸 Photography Tips
Outfit Suggestions: Hanfu (green/light pink recommended), Qipao, forest-themed dresses, paired with round fans or oil-paper umbrellas.
Recommended Spots: Jihong Bridge: Stand on the bridge to capture the reflection of the lake, or shoot the entire bridge from the opposite corridor.
Xuefang: Lean sideways against the railing or look back to highlight the details of the bamboo architecture.
Zijiu Caotang: Shoot upwards to capture the eaves and trees, or downwards to capture the stream and stone steps.
Props: Bring traditional lanterns, scrolls, or use stone bridges and bamboo rafts to add depth to your photos.
