Late Autumn in Hangzhou, Tongjian Lake's Last Burst of Romance

Late Autumn in Hangzhou, Tongjian Lake's Last Burst of Romance

Finally, Hangzhou's temperature dropped, and the wind carried a crisp coolness. I heard the flowers at Tongjian Lake were still blooming, so I went to see them.

The lake surface was as still as an undisturbed jade, and distant mountains were shrouded in a faint gray mist, revealing a touch of haziness. But the flowers by the lake refused to embrace this stillness—large patches of flowers crowded together, delicate pinks, pure whites, and elegant purples, spreading out vibrantly. The delicate petals trembled gently in the wind, as if carrying an unyielding spirit: "It's getting cold, but what can it do to me?"

Tourists were taking photos among the flowers, their crisp laughter drifting into the wind. I walked slowly by myself, watching these flowers bloom freely and boldly in the autumn chill. They never cared if the season was ending; they only focused on blooming with all their might, turning these last moments of late autumn into a spectacular feast.

As the sun set in the west, the entire sea of flowers was bathed in a warm golden glow, like a freshly lit charcoal fire, making even the wind feel a little softer. The wind was still cool on the way back, but my heart held the warmth of that sea of flowers. Autumn in Hangzhou is almost over, but this beauty, stubbornly blooming against the chill, will surely remain in my memory for a very long time.
