Hangzhou / Hangzhou Botanical Garden

I thought the Hangzhou Botanical Garden would be sparsely populated, but it was surprisingly packed! Overall, the experience was quite pleasant. The Hangzhou Botanical Garden itself is situated on a high ground, so some routes require climbing, which can be quite tiring.

I heard that admission is free after 17:30, but it's harder to take photos after sunset, and it gets darker.

There were a lot of construction works going on at the Botanical Garden today, so visiting later will definitely be more enjoyable, as you'll see so much more interesting things. Strolling here allows you to soak in the sounds of nature, and you could spend an entire afternoon here, as it's so large you can't walk all the way around it. Just come and take photos with the flowers. 📷

The most popular spot is the Buddha head next to the art museum, which can be included in your Hangzhou Botanical Garden route. There's staff to help you queue, so there's no need to rush.

📍Admission: 10 RMB
📍Opening Hours: 7:00-17:30
