Hoa Lo Prison, Hanoi

This prison was built by the French during the French colonial period. At that time, many Vietnamese activists were detained here.
There are exhibits showing the detention conditions at that time and the items used. The exhibits using dolls in particular made it easy to understand what it was like. Later, during the Vietnam War, American prisoners of war also spent time here. However, they didn't seem to live a bad life, and there were photos of them enjoying themselves.
