A must-visit chocolate cafe when you go to Hanoi, Vietnam🍫

Maison Marou was founded in 2011 by two French entrepreneurs who discovered during a jungle trip that Vietnam grows excellent quality cocoa beans, yet these beans had not been properly promoted or developed. They decided to establish the brand, overseeing every step of the process—from selecting cocoa beans, fermentation, roasting, grinding, molding, and more. Maison Marou is also the first brand founded by Westerners to set up its chocolate headquarters in Vietnam. It was once praised by The New York Times as "The Best Chocolate You’ve Never Tasted."
Doesn't this make you want to give it a try?
The chocolate samples in the store were truly impressive! Whether it's slightly tangy, bittersweet, or the sweet and rich chocolate that suits Vietnamese tastes, each has its own unique charm.
We ordered ice cream and latte for dine-in, and the store also provided nut chocolate for us to taste. Holding the chocolate in your hand, it gradually melts with your body heat. When you take a bite, the nutty aroma and the sweet-tangy flavor of raisins are perfectly balanced. Luckily, we chose to dine in, as this delicious treat would likely melt on the way home!
Although their products are available in convenience stores and souvenir shops, we highly recommend visiting their chocolate café to experience it firsthand! We visited the Maison Marou Café Nha Tho near the cathedral. The second floor has balcony seating, offering a chill vibe! If you're worried about the heat, there’s indoor seating with air conditioning as well.
