Local Breakfast in Hat Yai – A Local Must-Try!

When in Thailand, you have to dive into the local food scene — and breakfast is no exception. This time, my girls and I checked out the super popular Joke spot that everyone seems to recommend.

The vibe? Super local and down-to-earth — we had breakfast right by the roadside, soaking in the Hat Yai morning atmosphere.

We ordered congee, toast, youtiao (Chinese dough sticks), and even a sizzling hot plate dish. The congee was definitely the star — comforting, flavorful, and just hits the spot.

The other items were pretty decent too! As for the milk tea… personally, it wasn’t my favorite, but maybe it’s just not my kind of flavor.

Overall, if you’re in Hat Yai, it’s definitely worth a try!
