Chinese Stone Waterfalls

Within more than 10 kilometers of the Shenling Grand Canyon, there are stone waterfalls scattered in an orderly manner, some high, some low, some lying, some standing, some rushing, some competing with each other. The types of stone waterfalls are systematic and complete. According to their shapes and scales, they are mainly divided into flying waterfalls, giant waterfalls, dragon waterfalls, cascading waterfalls, curtain waterfalls, radish waterfalls, skirt waterfalls, wall waterfalls, fairy peach waterfalls, etc.

Shenlingzhai Creek

The waters of Shenling Village are clear, graceful, gentle, and tranquil. The flowing waterline resembles a beautiful girl's loose hair, creating a picturesque gallery. Streams give rise to cascading waterfalls, which in turn give rise to emerald pools. Waterfalls connect, pools gaze upon each other, and the scenery changes with every step. The essence of viewing the mountains lies in the journey, while the essence of appreciating the water lies in the enjoyment. The riverbed of Shenling Village is entirely granite, and the stream flows over the rock slabs. Visitors can roll up their pants and play barefoot in the current, chasing rocks, catching fish, or even playing in the waves.

prairie landscape

At the highest point of Lotus Peak in Shenlingzhai Scenic Area, there is a 6,700 square meter alpine wetland, recreating the landscape of the prairie, a rare sight in northern China. Lotus Peak, with its center consisting of a flat swamp and surrounded by numerous small peaks, derives its name from its shape resembling a blooming lotus.
