Story:
Hat Yai truly surprised me — a perfect blend of spiritual calm and bold street flavors. 🕌🍜
I started the day exploring Wat Hat Yai Nai, home to one of Thailand’s largest reclining Buddhas. Peaceful, beautiful, and full of local charm. Then moved on to Hat Yai Municipal Park, where the cable car ride to the mountaintop temple gave breathtaking views of the city below.
But let’s talk food... this city is a food lover’s paradise!
From spicy som tam and crispy roti, to night markets bursting with grilled seafood, Thai desserts, and snacks I can’t even name — every bite was a discovery. My favorite? Coconut ice cream with sticky rice at Greenway Market. Heaven.
Hat Yai is more than just a stopover — it’s a full experience for the senses.
Highly underrated. Totally unforgettable.
