I went on a weekday around 1:00 PM. There weren't many people, and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, perfect for chilling out, reading, or chatting with friends.
🍴 Location / Directions / Shop / Seating
• HUM Coffee Brewer is located in a soi (Pracharom) in Hat Yai. It's not too difficult to find, with a little GPS help.
• The shop isn't very large, with seating both inside (air-conditioned) and outside, which is quite comfortable.
• The interior is decorated in a minimalist/vintage wood style, with simple, warm decor and plenty of photo spots (but nothing flashy).
• Parking is a minor issue – if you go during peak hours, you might have to circle around or park a bit further away and walk.
☕ Menu + Taste
I ordered two items:
1. Americano – Ordered hot, using the shop's own blend (Hum House Blend). The taste was excellent: a sharp, fruity coffee aroma (not too sweet, not too bitter), well-balanced, and perfect for those who prefer fresh coffee without overly strong flavors.
2. Plum Soda – This soda is refreshing. The plum aroma isn't overpowering, with a hint of sourness and sweetness. It's a refreshing, slightly sweet and sour flavor, perfect for the hot weather.
• Desserts: There's a selection. I tried the Chocolate Terrine — rich, chewy chocolate with a slight bitterness, not overly sweet — and pairs well with coffee.
👍 What I liked:
• The coffee is high-quality, well-balanced, and doesn't overpower the taster.
• The staff/baristas were friendly and explained the coffee beans, allowing for slight customizations such as sweetness and strength.
• The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing break.
• The soda and non-coffee drinks menu is thoughtfully presented. I felt they didn't just offer a selection, but also put a lot of thought into the ingredients.
👎 What might need improvement/cons:
• Limited seating capacity — If you come in a large group or arrive late in the evening, you might have to wait for a seat.
• Parking is inconvenient — you'll need to allow time to find a spot.
• Some menu items — such as the green tea — have been reviewed with higher expectations. The color looks intense, but the aroma/taste is not as clear as what you see in the photos or on the menu.
• If there are a lot of people ordering desserts/cakes, you may have to wait. — Overall, the service is good, but it can be a bit slow during peak hours.
🔍 Value for money
For me, I consider it "worth it" because I paid less than 200 baht for coffee, soda, and desserts. The taste, atmosphere, and service exceeded my expectations slightly compared to other coffee shops.
