Introducing Gucheng Lake

Nanjing Gucheng Lake, located in Gaochun District, Nanjing, is named after the ancient " Gucheng " on the lakeside and is commonly known as Xiaonan Lake. Its predecessor was originally a lagoon on the seashore. Coral fossils from that time were discovered and collected on the limestone in the Dongyan and Huashan areas of the lake.

The Gucheng Ruins on the south bank of Gucheng Lake is one of the earliest cities in the Nanjing area, more than 200 years older than Nanjing's Stone City. It is a unique experience to go boating on the lake, enjoy the natural scenery, and pay tribute to the ancients and historical sites.

Gucheng Lake covers over 30 square kilometers. Crabs are raised there, and the most famous Gaochun crabs are Gucheng Lake crabs, which are primarily found in Gucheng Lake. Gucheng Lake , covering 31 square kilometers and owned by Nanjing Gaochun, is one of the ten best-preserved lakes in the province.
