Dagu Glacier, Sichuan's Gem of Glacier

When talking about glaciers in China, many people might think of Qinghai-Tibet. But did you know that Sichuan Province itself boasts the beautiful and easily accessible Dagu Glacier (达古冰川), nicknamed "the youngest glacier in the world," at only around 10,000 years old?

What's special about Dagu Glacier:
✨ Spectacular Height – The park's highest point lies at over 5,000 meters above sea level. Visitors can take a cable car up to experience panoramic views without the arduous climb.

How to get there?
- The destination is Heishui County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province.
- From Chengdu, the journey takes approximately 7–8 hours.
- Allow at least 2 days and 1 night.

Best time to visit:
🍂 Autumn (October–November): Fall foliage contrasts with snow.
❄️ Winter (December–March): Plenty of snow.
🌿 Summer (July–August): Cool weather.
