Helan Mountain National Forest Park

Helan Mountain is tall and majestic, like a straightforward man from Northwest China. At first glance, it seems there are no trees standing beside it, but after driving ten kilometers into the interior, a vast forest suddenly appears before your eyes. It truly has a cold exterior but a warm heart.
Mid-October is already the off-season, and this vast forest almost becomes my private scenic spot.

Self-drive navigation to the East Gate of the Forest Park
Shuttle bus within the park directly to the hiking starting point (included in the ticket)

🌲 Recommended routes
1️⃣ Songtao Mountain Villa starting point ➡️ Qingsong Ridge
Take the shuttle bus for 15 minutes directly
Start a 3-kilometer wooden plank trail hike through a sea of coniferous trees

2️⃣ Cherry Valley
Best spot to view autumn foliage!
A palette of golden poplars and dark green spruces intertwined

3️⃣ Century Tower
Climb to the top to overlook both the bare rocks of Helan Mountain and the forest oasis
Drone flying is prohibited 🈲️

⚠️ Notes
• Large temperature difference in the mountains; in October, bring fleece and a windbreaker
• The last shuttle bus down the mountain is at 17:30
• No supply points along the route; bring enough bottled water
