Hilton Zhuzhou: A culinary and accommodation experience
I recently visited Zhuzhou and tried the afternoon tea and accommodation at Hilton Zhuzhou. I had a great experience overall, so I wanted to share it with you.
💰️Average cost per person:
The price during the Spring Festival was less than CNY 500, which was very cost-effective. The afternoon tea was reasonably priced, and for durian lovers, the durian-flavored desserts were definitely worth it.
🧹Soundproofing/Cleanliness:
The soundproofing was good, and the room was quiet, so I wasn't disturbed while resting. The room was clean overall, but since the hotel has been open for 10 years, there were some signs of age in some corners. There was a slight smell when I first entered the room, but it went away after airing it out a bit.
🏘️️️Room type/Layout:
I was upgraded to a side river view room, which was spacious and well laid out. The toilet and bathroom were separate, and the wet and dry areas were separated, which was very convenient. The room had a huge bathtub, so I could enjoy the river view while taking a bath, which was very relaxing. The only downside was that the mini fridge was on the counter, which was a bit awkward.
🛌Supplies/Facilities:
The hotel lobby bar on the first floor offers afternoon tea with durian-themed desserts, such as durian rolls with a crispy crust and a durian filling, served with black tea and seasonal fruit. It's perfect for spending an afternoon and taking photos. There is a gym, yoga room, swimming pool, etc. upstairs. The gym overlooks the Xiang River and is well-equipped, so you can enjoy your workout. The room amenities are the standard Hilton Crabtree & Evelyn, which smell nice. Room service is delivered by a robot, which is fast.
💗Other tips:
There is a shopping street downstairs with milk tea, coffee, and snacks to meet your daily needs, but some snack shops were closed during the Spring Festival. Zhuzhou is a small city, and the museum is new. Although there aren't many exhibits reflecting Zhuzhou's industrial history, it's still worth a visit. Hunan cuisine is heavy and spicy, so if you can't handle spicy food, be sure to let the waiter know in advance.
