Not busy on the weekend, take a trip to Hengyang, Hengyang Dongzhou Island

Hengyang Dongzhou Island, along with Orange Isle and Junshan, is known as one of the three major islands in the Xiangjiang River Basin.
In terms of natural scenery, Dongzhou Island is surrounded by water on all sides, with dense trees and lush greenery, creating a very tranquil environment. The island has many famous attractions, such as Luohan Temple, Fuzhi Tower, Wuzhizhang, and Chuanshan Academy. Among them, Chuanshan Academy is an important part of Huxiang culture. It was funded by Peng Yulin, a Hengyang native and Minister of War during the Qing Dynasty, and later renamed Chuanshan Ancient Academy. Dongzhou Island is known as one of the "Eight Scenic Spots of Hengzhou," especially for the "Dongzhou Peach Waves." Every March, during the season of blooming flowers and green willows, the peach blossoms on Dongzhou Island in the center of the Xiangjiang River bloom like fire and clouds, with gentle waves, resembling a large flower basket floating on the ever-flowing Xiangjiang River.
