Segré is a highly rated restaurant in Heusden-Zolder. It's not very large, but its decor is simple and chic. If you go during dinner, it's recommended to make a reservation, as every table is packed.
The food here is a cross between Italian and Belgian, and the portions are incredibly generous. For this meal, here's what we ordered:
➡️ Spaghetti with Burrata
The spaghetti was cooked perfectly al dente, tossed with pine nuts and tomatoes, sprinkled with arugula, and topped with a generous dollop of burrata cheese. It was a perfect combination.
➡️ "Black Tiger" scampi (in verse, look boter)
Large shrimps sautéed in garlic butter. You can choose between fried potatoes or pasta sautéed in olive oil. We chose the latter. The pasta was soft and chewy, just like the first dish. The shrimp dish was also delicious.
➡️ Dame Noir
The chocolate ice cream scoops were huge! Two scoops were served. The highlight was the chocolate sauce, which was rich, sweet, and fragrant with chocolate. The waffles were crispy and delicious, and they came with fresh fruit. I loved it!
