Strolling the old streets of Takayama

Hida Takayama (“Sanmachi") is a popular sightseeing spot in Gifu Prefecture. It is also known as the “Little Kyoto of Hida”. The street is well known for the beauty of its lattice-lined buildings, along which waters flows through the canals on either side of the street. There are a lot of restaurants and souvenir stores around the area. We tried the Hida beef sushi, and it's the best sushi I've ever had! We also had ramen.

This is a must-see destination if you are in Gifu, or nearby.

In 2024, I want to go to Kyoto.
