The direction of travel on the Hida is reversed from Gifu Station!
So it's important to take the right side of the direction of travel from Gifu to Takayama◎

Because the sections with great views on the Takayama Main Line are concentrated on the right side!

You can see the scenic spots such as the Hida River and Hisuikyo Gorge on the right side of the train, but the left side is not suitable for those who want to enjoy the view because there are many walls. 🥹

★How to buy tickets cheaply
① Make use of early bird and discount tickets
e-ticket: If you use the "e-ticket" provided by JR Central, you can purchase tickets early via the internet and get a discount from the regular fare. 🫣

Especially for limited express trains such as "Hida", there are discounts for early purchase, and you can get up to 10 to 20% cheaper!

Early bird: JR offers "Early Bird Ticket" and other discounts that apply depending on how many days before departure you purchase!
