Hiratsuka is a city 35 minutes from Yokohama on the Tokaido Line. It is one of the relay points for the Hakone Ekiden and is famous for its Tanabata Festival.

Have you heard of Hiratsuka's soul food, "Tanmen"? Hiratsuka's Tanmen is different from Yokohama's, with a clear soup, white noodles (like hiyamuki noodles), and a simple seasoning with plenty of wakame seaweed. The noodles had a refreshing taste and you could eat as many bowls as you wanted.

The restaurant only serves Tanmen and gyoza. It is run by an elderly couple and has a warm atmosphere.
