The Li Clan Ancestral Hall was built in 1920 by Li Yuegai, a 17th-generation descendant of the Li family (Ai Siqi's father). Construction took six years to complete. Located between Shuidui Village and the Liu Clan Ancestral Hall, the hall occupies approximately 4,000 square meters, nestled against a hillside and facing Laifeng Mountain. Its imposing structure is a testament to its majestic beauty.
The temple consists of a main hall, two side buildings, a second gate, a front courtyard, a main gate, and two moon palace gates. From the main road, one reaches the nine-tiered base of the hall, with over a hundred stone steps. Climbing up to the turning point of the steps, one finds two stone archways. Further up, one reaches the moon platform, and above that, a majestic three-bay archway-style gate. Passing through the front courtyard, one enters the main hall and its three-sided, double-eaved, hip-and-gabled side buildings. The temple is renowned for its grand layout, high elevation, expansive views, and breathtaking scenery.
The Li Clan Ancestral Hall was built the latest, constructed entirely of high-quality Tengchong catalpa wood. It is the largest and most imposing of the ancestral halls in Heshun. The pond in front of the hall was built in the 22nd year of the reign of Emperor Li Yugai, a descendant of the ancestors (Chun, Rong, Gui, Sen) and their successors (Yan and Wen). On the pond, a stone inscription in small seal script, "You cultivate virtue, do not disgrace your ancestors," written by Li Yugai, the first Colonial Frontier Supervisor of Yunnan Province, in the autumn of 1933, remains intact. The stone carvings on the two archways on either side of the main gate are also intact. On the front, Li Yugai's cursive script inscriptions of "Denglong" and "Wangfeng" are visible, while on the back, Li Zhi's official cursive script inscriptions of "Jingwei" and "Yunrong" are faintly visible.
The tropical monsoon climate combines the advantages of continental and maritime climates. Winter and spring are sunny and warm, while summer and autumn have a mix of sunny and rainy weather and are cool and pleasant. All four seasons are suitable for travel.
