[Aomori] Hirosaki, the city of Nebuta and castles

After arriving in Hirosaki, we first took a bus to Hirosaki Castle. It wasn't cherry blossom season, but the scenery of the moat and stone walls was beautiful, and the view from the castle tower was also nice. The park is spacious and pleasant to walk around in. Next we went to Neputa Village, where huge Neputa floats were on display, and it was fun to actually try playing the taiko drums. We were able to see the craftsmen at work up close, and felt the breath of tradition. Hirosaki is different from Aomori City, and the relaxed castle town atmosphere was appealing. I think it's a place where you can quietly enjoy history and culture.
