[Hiroshima] The best breakfast ever. I visited a hotel before it opened.

On Monday, March 24, 2025, a new hotel will finally open as the "Gateway to Setouchi" directly above JR Hiroshima Station! 🎊
We visited the hotel before it opened.

All guest rooms, located from the 9th to 21st floors, are equipped with large windows overlooking the cityscape of Hiroshima and separate bathrooms.

The South Gate Twin room is particularly spacious and has a cozy space with a harmonious blend of Maruni Woodworking furniture and carefully selected flooring.

In the morning, we had a breakfast at "Umishima Dining" where you can enjoy the rich ingredients of Setouchi. I have experienced various hotel buffets in the past, but this was the first time I had one as luxurious as this one.

Starting with freshly baked bread and confiture made with fruits from Hiroshima Prefecture that are free of preservatives and additives, we were able to fully enjoy the seafood of Setouchi at Ikura and Seafood Marche. 🦐🍋

You can even enjoy "Conger eel rice", a representative Hiroshima dish 😳

Breakfast is only available to guests staying overnight, so if you're going to Hiroshima, we recommend staying at "Hotel Granvia Hiroshima South Gate" ♡
