Recommended Spots in Ibaraki: A Day Immersed in a Colorful World

📍Location: 〒312-0012, 605-4 Onuma, Mawata, Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture

【Hitachi Seaside Park】

💓Recommended Time: Late April to Early May

(If possible, weekdays are better to avoid the crowds during Golden Week or weekends. Even if you miss the spring season, the park offers various flowers blooming throughout the year, so you can enjoy it anytime☺️)

🌸Nemophila and Tulips🌷

When I visited, it was the perfect time to see both Nemophila and Tulips in full bloom.

Nemophila is a major attraction at Hitachi Seaside Park, making it incredibly famous as a Nemophila hotspot. However, the area was packed with people😓. Even when taking photos of Nemophila, the sheer number of visitors was overwhelming.

The Tulip area, on the other hand, was relatively less crowded, allowing for a more relaxed experience.

I recommend a quick stroll through the Nemophila area and spending more leisurely time in the Tulip area🙂.

🩵Recommended Treats
・Nemophila Ice Cream
(Sold at stalls and restaurants within the park, available in soda and milk flavors. The Nemophila-shaped cookie on top is irresistibly cute🍪.)

If you visit during warmer weather, be sure to try it for a refreshing treat.

【Bonus】
Ibaraki is also famous for its sweet potatoes. The city has several specialty sweet potato shops, so it might be fun to go on a drive🚗 and compare different sweet potato desserts.

I tried a sweet potato brûlée, and it was absolutely amazing!!!!!!
