🇯🇵A must-visit national park near Tokyo in October for great photography

Must-visit attractions in Tokyo suburbs/Ibaraki Prefecture in autumn🍂
Although mid-October is not yet the maple leaf season, it is the season when kokia (コキア) is in full bloom. As the raw material of brooms, Bobo grass is regarded as grass in many places, but it is regarded as a treasure in Japan and has a different fate.

Hitachi Seaside Park (國営ひたち海浜公園) is located in Hitachi Naka City, Ibaraki Prefecture, about 1.5 hours from Tokyo. Together with other nearby attractions, it is very suitable for a day trip from Tokyo or a leisurely two-day and one-night trip.

This year's broom grass bloomed a week later than in previous years. The broom grasses I saw in mid-October had already turned 80% red, and some of them had green tints, which were more unique than the all-red ones.

Transportation: Take the express train from JR Ueno Station to JR Katsuta Station (about 1.5 hours), then take the bus from JR Katsuta Station to the West Exit of Seaside Park (about 15 minutes)
⚠️If you don’t drive yourself, it is recommended to go on weekends and in season. There will be few public transportation services on weekdays or off-season
