⛰️ The Ha Long Bay on land…? Mua Caves, Ninh Binh

Okay… this place totally blew me away 😍 Even though it’s called Mua Caves, the real magic isn’t underground but way up high. After climbing about 500 stone steps, you’re rewarded with one of the most insane views in Vietnam: endless rice fields, limestone mountains, and the river winding through the valley. Honestly… it feels like Ha Long Bay on land 🛶⛰️.

💸 How much?

🎟️ Ticket is 100,000 VND (~4 € / 4.5 USD). Super cheap for the view of a lifetime.

⏰ When to go
• 🌅 Early morning (6–9 AM): peaceful, cool, and perfect for dreamy pics.
• 🌇 Sunset (around 5–6 PM): golden hour goals ✨ but expect more people.
• ☀️ Midday? Don’t do it. The heat makes the climb way harder.

💡 My tips
• 👟 Wear comfy shoes – the stairs are steep.
• ⚠️ The black stone steps are super slippery, especially after rain – avoid them.
• 🐐 You might spot some goats along the way – they’re super chill and won’t bother you.
• 💧 Bring water (your future self will thank you).
• 📸 If you want that iconic “alone at the top” shot… set your alarm early.
• 🚣 After the climb, go for a boat ride in Tam Coc or Trang An – it’s the perfect combo.
