The Wuta Temple Museum is located on Wuta Temple Hou Street in Hohhot. It was built in the 5th year of the Yongzheng period of the Qing dynasty (1727). It was originally called Cideng Temple. There are five exquisite pagodas on the Vajra Throne Stupa behind the temple. After Cideng Temple fell into disrepair, only the five pagodas remained standing, hence the name Wuta Temple. The Vajra Throne Stupa is composed of a base, a Vajra Throne, and a top, with a total height of about 16 meters. The body of the pagoda is made of glazed bricks. The entire pagoda is covered with Buddhist carvings, with as many as 1,560 Buddha reliefs, creating a strong religious atmosphere. The "Five Pagodas Reflecting the Moon" is one of the 16 scenic spots of Qingcheng.
