The first of the seven major temples in Hohhot - Dazhao Wuliang Temple!

📍Detailed address:
Dazhao Temple - a large Tibetan Buddhist temple in the southern part of Yuquan District, Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, with the Chinese name "Wuliang Temple".

❤Recommendation reason:
1⃣️ Dazhao Temple was founded by Altan Khan, the leader of the Mongolian Tumed tribe in the Ming Dynasty during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (1579 AD) and completed the following year. It is the earliest Lamaist temple built in Hohhot. 👍
2⃣️ Dazhao Temple has a close relationship with Emperor Kangxi. Emperor Kangxi once stayed in the Dazhao Temple for a few days, so the Dazhao Temple in Hohhot is also honored as the "Imperial Temple"! [Awesome]
3⃣️ Dazhao Temple in Hohhot is the ancestral temple of Emperor Kangxi, and its status is one level higher than that of Lama Temple in Beijing.

🌟Highlights:
There is a saying that there are "seven major temples, eight minor temples and seventy-two unnamed temples" in Hohhot. Among them, Dazhao Temple is the first of the "seven major temples" and has an important position. The temple houses a rich collection of treasures, including the "three wonders" of silver Buddhas, coiled dragons, and murals. These cultural relics are of extremely high craftsmanship and ornamental value.

📝Note tips:
When making a reservation, you must make sure to check the Jokhang Temple (Lhasa) and the Dazhao Temple (Hohhot). Lhasa is free to make a reservation, but Hohhot requires a ticket. I realized that I made the wrong reservation when I checked my ticket [Facepalm]

🎫Ticket price:
35 yuan. (Free for those aged 65 and above)
🕙Business hours:
8:30-17:30.
Yao Dapeng sings in the song "Hohhot" - Hohhot is at the foot of the Daqing Mountains, Hohhot is north of the Yellow River, and Hohhot is at the end of the desert! So I decided to visit this city! Visit Dazhao Wuliang Temple🙏
