Hoi An Ancient Town is one of the 50 must-visit places recommended by National Geographic. The yellow-walled ancient houses, the riverside with lanterns, tiled roofs, coconut trees and boats are a beautiful picture that travels through time🏮✨
It takes about 30-40 minutes to get there from the city of Da Nang. This trip is suitable for all ages. I really liked it after going there once, so I later brought my parents to travel here.
Recommended itinerary:
Canaan Island Water Coconut Forest Bamboo Basket Boat
Vietnamese traditional fishing boats. If you want to pursue excitement, you can also ask the boatman to let you experience the "crazy spinning bamboo basket boat"
❣️You can buy tickets in advance on the online platform, or you can ask the chartered car driver to make a reservation. It is recommended not to experience it at noon, as it will be very sunny and it will not look good in photos.
Hoi An Ancient Town
There are currently 5 associations still preserved in Hoi An, namely the Chinese Association, the Fujian Association, the Guangdong and Chaozhou Association, the Chaozhou Association and the Hainan Association, among which the Fujian Association is the largest. These guild halls all have similar Lingnan-style architecture, and most of them enshrine Mazu.
Lantern Street
Hoi An is the largest lantern-making center in Vietnam, and lanterns have become the most iconic representative of Hoi An, so don’t miss the famous landmarks here!
Enjoy the sunset over the Thu Bon River
Sitting on the river bank of the Moonlight Bridge and watching the sunset is very romantic.
