The Shiliang Waterfall is a wonder of Taizhou's Tiantai Mountain Scenic Area. The stone beam, approximately seven meters long and less than a foot wide, stretches like the spine of a towering dragon, stretching across the cliffs between two mountains. The waterfall, winding three times through the beam, then cascades down the 40-meter-high cliff, resembling a crashing white frost and snow, its thunderous impact reminiscent of thunder.
Records indicate that Xu Xiake, a Ming Dynasty geographer who visited Tiantai three times, once crossed the terrifying Stone Beam Bridge. Now that the bridgehead is closed to traffic, one can only imagine its thrilling appearance.
The Shiliang Feipu Scenic Area is the main filming location for many films and TV series, including China's first martial arts film "Shaolin Temple", "Shaolin Lay Disciples", and "The Legend of the Condor Heroes".
