Japanese Bridge, Hoi An

🌉Japanese Bridge🇯🇵Hoi An or as Vietnamese call it Lai Vien Kieu, which means the Bridge of Friendship. It got this name because this bridge was built by the Japanese community. It is a bridge built across a canal where the Japanese community settled over 400 years ago. It was built among the Chinese and Japanese villages.

At the end of the bridge, there are sculptures of dogs and monkeys, symbolizing the construction that was built in the Year of the Monkey 🐒 and completed in the Year of the Dog 🐕.

This bridge is also imprinted in the form of a 20,000 dong banknote 💵.
