Tips for Traveling to Da Nang with a Baby

For our baby's first overseas trip, we chose Da Nang, which is just a short 4-hour flight away—perfect for traveling with a little one. From resorts to restaurants and tourist spots, Da Nang proved to be an excellent destination for a family trip.

Our first accommodation was Furama Resort near My Khe Beach. The resort features a spacious pool and is very kid-friendly, making it ideal for water play with children. There’s even a separate kids' pool right in front of the main pool, so moms can relax on the sunbeds while kids play to their heart's content.

For sightseeing in Da Nang city, we kept it simple with just Dragon Bridge and Han Market. Overloading the schedule isn’t great for a child’s condition. In the evening, we wrapped up the day with a stroll while enjoying the night view of Dragon Bridge. On weekend evenings, the bridge even breathes fire, which our baby absolutely loved.

We visited Hoi An as a day trip. The nighttime scenery with lanterns lit up was so enchanting that I was more captivated than the baby. It’s easy to navigate with a stroller, and there are plenty of cafes to take breaks, making it a relaxed outing.

When traveling with a baby, I highly recommend planning the itinerary around nap times. Taking breaks at cafes and enjoying hotel breakfasts leisurely helps maintain a routine, making the trip comfortable for both the baby and the parents.

For food, I highly recommend the banh mi sandwiches at 'Banh Mi Phuong.' Our baby enjoyed the chewy crust of the baguette after we cut off the outer part for them. For seafood, 'Han River View Seafood Restaurant' offers grilled fish and fried rice that are suitable for sharing with kids.

On the last day, we wrapped up the trip with a walk along My Khe Beach. Our baby even experienced their first massage—it tickled at first, but they ended up falling asleep, probably because it felt so relaxing!
