While Japan is no short of reasons or places that make it the world's most beautiful destination for a holiday (or just about anything for that matter). Those who haven't been to Hokkaido up north are missing the most beautiful parts of this gorgeous country.

The north especially during various seasons transforms into something else. You have it witness it yourself. Like with most other prefectures, you will have plenty of options. Yes, this is going to be slightly more expensive than other places. Also I would recommend driving around to get to places, otherwise shared transport. Whatever works for you. Hokkaido is not to be missed!
