Grade I historic building "Blue House" 🔷Hua Tuo Hospital & the martial arts gym of Huang Feihong's apprentice "Zhu Rourong"

On your staycation in Wanchai, of course you should visit the Grade I historic building "Blue House"🔷 located in Shek Shui Kwai Street, Wanchai! You can also learn about the history of Hong Kong!

Before the Blue House was built, the original site was "Hua Tuo Hospital"🏥, established in 1867, it was the first Chinese-run hospital in Hong Kong. The request to merge with the Tung Wah Hospital in 1872 was rejected, and the hospital ended its operations in 1886. However, the remaining statue of Hua Tuo was still visited by neighbors from time to time, so it was transformed into the "Hua Tuo Temple" until it was closed in 1922.

After redevelopment, it was a 4-storey 12-unit townhouse available for rent and now occupied by citizens.

🤩 The disciple of a generation of master Wong Fei Hung, "Pork Wing" Lin Shi Wing, opened a martial arts hall in "Blue House", where his successor Lin Zu taught Hong Boxing and Dit Da. Therefore, many male neighbors used to know how to get close to each other.

The current Blue House is revitalized and the public can visit. The small garden has several small tires for children to play and a restaurant. There is a staircase inside called "Bunny Lane"🐰 Lots of cute handmade bunnies🐇 on the handrails, you can take beautiful photos.
Along the way, of course, take a picture with the "Orange House" 🔶 & "Yellow House" 🟨, and the beautiful dragon cat mural! !
